According to
the students, it is a surprise to learn about the hike through a loan beneficiaries

The loan beneficiaries list released indicates that tuition fee for The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences has been hiked from k400 thousand to k650 thousand per year.

Wondering on the same, a first-year student in Industrial Physics, Innocent Soko, says he suspects the institution has planned to announce the hike during the coming holiday.
“Having
learnt what happened to our friends at MZUNI, I am Certainly sure that the
university is trying to prevent a similar scenario.” Soko said.
Authorities
at MUBAS are yet to comment on the concerns raised by the students
The unannounced tuition fee hike follows similar hikes at University of Malawi (UNIMA), Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) and Mzuzu University (Mzuni) among others.
